Its the first time since 1987 that GB have had five players through to the second round
Naomi Broady unfortunately lost to Australian Daria Gavrilova in three sets 3-6 6-4 7-5

British number one Johanna Konta has won the Sydney International with an impressive 6-4 6-2 victory over Agnieszka Radwanska in Australia
Konta broke her opponent in the third game and hit 18 winners to five in the first set
Konta dominated world number three Radwanska with some stunning returns and powerful hitting, and she convincingly won the second set

British number one Johanna Konta continued her good start to 2017 by reaching the semi-finals of the Shenzhen Open in China
Konta beat world number 60 Kristyna Pliskova of the Czech Republic 6-4 6-7 (11-13) 6-3
Her next opponent will be another Czech, Katerina Siniakova, who beat Serbian Nina Stojanovic 6-3 6-4

The 2016/17 Emirates FA Cup First Round kicks off this evening and over the weekend
19.45pm tonight sees the first game of the first round proper kick off between Millwall & Southend closely followed by National League Eastleigh v Swindon Town at 19.55pm
Its every footballers dream to play in the FA Cup and who knows we could see a number of giant killings this weekend
Our local team Dover Athletic of the National League find themselves in the first round tomorrow away to Cambridge United of League 2, come on you whites!!!!!!

Marcus Ellis and Chris Langridge take bronze in badminton's men's doubles

Team GB are up to 3rd in the Olympic Medal Table with 7 Gold, 9 Silver and 6 Bronze
The Men's team pursuit gold sees Bradley Wiggins make history with his 8th Olympic medal
Rowers Heather Stanning and Helen Glover won the pairs, while Alex Gregory, George Nash, Constantine Louloudis and Mohamed Sbihi took the men's four Gold whilst Jazz Carling adds a silver in the pool
Bryony Page wins trampoline silver to become the first British woman to claim an Olympic medal in the event
The dressage team also won silver, with Spencer Wilton, Fiona Bigwood, Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin
